2016 was one of the most difficult yet most rewarding years I've ever had. I discovered new things about myself and new interests that have changed my perspective on the world and how I wish to impact it. I have especially been inspired by amazing and powerful women working for sustainable solution. One of whom is Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai who works to break the cycle of poverty and empower girls through education. She and her foundation seem to pretty much sum up all female driven successes all in one great video. Check it out here.

"Let’s face it, 2016 was a tough year. But everywhere we look, girls are doing incredible things. They aren’t waiting patiently for the world to call on them. Girls are showing the world what they can do. We created a video celebrating some of the top girl-powered moments of the year. In the video, you’ll see Malala Fund girl heroes like Muzoon and Malala, Olympic athletes, #1000BlackGirlBooks founder Marley Dias and our supporters from around the world."

I cannot wait to see what 2017 brings as we continue this journey of empowering others and changing the world for the better.
